Open PowerVault Modular Storage Manager Utility
This Software is used to configure Dell MD Series Storage.Run this software from computer which you are running the Dell (MDSM) utility must be on the same subnet as your Dell MD system
Click On Automatic Discovery of the array then OK Button .
New array will be shown as unnamed
Select and double click on it or right click click on storage
License Activation
Click on Manager Premium Features to activate License
Select The key file from local system.
Click On Yes
Raid Group Creation Go to Storage and click Next
Select Raid Level as Raid 5 and click next
Select Manual Disk
Select all the disks(SAS) and click on finish
Click on No
Now Select the SSD disks and click on Finish
Add host or register to the array and click Next
Add the fiber WWN Number and Click on Next
Select Host OS and click on Next
Select No because its standalone host and click Next
Click On Finish
Click on Next
Create The Virtual Disk from SSD
Create The Virtual Disk from SAS
Click Finish
